How do I get Vilkas (from the companions) to stop following me? Hes not even a real follower because the only thing I can talk to him about is asking for 2-handed weapon training. I don't know why he started following me but now he wont leave me alone. He can't die either so I can't just kill him. I don't have any companion quest so that can't be it either. I want a companion that I can trade with and tell them to do things.

The worst part is, for the Dark Brotherhood, He attacks me when I kill my targets. Not cool. Anybody know how to get rid of him?

Finish his quest for the companions where you wipe out the blankity blank?

I had this problem earlier today, right after the quest where he tests you. I couldn't make him go away, I've finished the Companion questline now so he doesn't bother me but if it got exceedingly bad I'd just attack him until he got onto the floor then you can use that time to fast travel to where you need to go and he won't bother you again until he next sees you. I had to repeatedly knock him down for 1 or 2 of the quests where he accompanied me. There may be a command that can stop him but I didn't bother to look.

The quest says to wipe out the blankity blank but it has no marker or waypoint of any kind
