Stopped playing..

Post » Tue Sep 14, 2010 5:05 am

As of today I am not playing in a single multiplayer match untill the game is fixed I have been annoyed, frustrated and down right angry for the last time, I liked this game and would love to return one day as I only really brought it for the online portion of the game, if you are on my friends list i apolgise for not gaming with you and enjoying a few rounds but with the curent state that the game is in and with lag and hit detections getting more and more off I cannot bring myself to play the game. Please Crytek do fix this game and make me want to return and play your game.

Regards
teh-gamer.

I traded it in, no point in keeping the game just now. if the game gets fixed then i might pick it up cheaply from the used bargain bin

I also have stopped playing and the sad thing that I actually love Crysis 2 but the lag is really unbearable.
Also I am even more sad when I think that Killzone 3 has been patched 7 times already in less than two months, and was perfectly playable and enjoyable from day one!

I'm with ya. Haven't played since directly after the patch. What a giant let down. Screw Crytek for their lack of information to the community. If this was some other product giving us this kind of customer support, we would get a full refund. It's not even about the money, but about developers being allowed to release this garbage. Lag, hit detection, terrible AI....simply makes the game unplayable for me when I have an awesome game like BFBC2 to fall back on. I guess I'm mad because I wanted this game to succeed and not see the console players move on so quickly, but whatever.

I'm happy for those enjoying the game, but I doubt I'll be back.

Me too, I bought this game strictly for multiplayer. I had such high hopes for this game, then it plays worse than COD. I am so sick of COD too. I have no problem coming back, just it may take 6 months to get better. I am disappointed there isn't dedicated servers like in MOH and BFBC2. I opted for the return game to EA to get sealed copy for refund option. I got it back yesterday and returned for Brink. I will get Crysis again once they fix the multiplayer.

Same here, if this was beta, i would be ok with what is going on, but there is no excuse in releasing this garbage before it was finished. As far as i know they still havent apologized to us officially. If they would keep us infrmed and offered a "i'm sorry" on a sticky, it wouldnt be so bad...i've been let down by too many companies that refuse to fix there crappy product.

Thanks EA and thanks Crytek

Yeah, it seems that a lot of people are moving on... noticed that from the empty lobbies i've been thrown into. I've had a bad few days with unbelievable lag at times and am, frankly, getting tired with waiting for a patch. Crytek are not communicating with us either... why not!? Why do companies not bother to communicate with their fanbase? I'm sure they read the forums... but don't bother to keep us posted. I'm getting irritated.

Oh well, i've got Homefront in the post, so i'm just waiting for that to arrive. Know that has issues but at least its had a couple of patches.

I also have stopped playing and the sad thing that I actually love Crysis 2 but the lag is really unbearable.

The fact that Killzone 3 has had to be patched 7 times proves how broken that game actually was. Its been broken since release day, and i'd check to see if the latest patch has made it playable but I stopped playing it ages ago. Killzone 3 = The ultimate camping, unbalanced game.

Love the game so far too but waited for a used one so it was returnable if the stories were true. So far I have been lucky with the lag but am noticing the empty lobbies. I started playing later in the evening now to make sure there are enough players to fill the game quickly.

I will sit on this one after the second run on single player to see if MP gets fixed but will probably move on before that happens and trade it.

Bro KZ3 is a PS3 exclusive. Crysis 2 is multi platform. thats why KZ3 been patched 7 times. Crytek has to work on the other versions aswell before they can come back and work on the PS3 issues. have some patience.

This is the first game that I actually regretted purchasing within the first hour of gameplay. The hideous framerate almost made me cry. and the lag was insult to injury. This game is dead to me until I hear that they've somehow overhauled it into a good game (which won't happen).

Homefront just got patched, and it runs like a dream. Killzone 3 has been patched, but all of the patches were for gameplay tweaks and added features, like changing sprint time and adding custom games. The just put out patch 1.08 yesterday, which solved the dlc map loop problem. Homefront and Killzone 3 are both amazing games that I am absolutely loving, and Black Ops is still fun for me as well. Crysis 2 is a giant turd with it's terrible framerate and lag. If they ever managed to fix that stuff, I'd probably really give it another chance. But I just have no patience to struggle with a game that runs at 15 frames per second, with crazy lag as well.

im done with this game i think, the defining factor being that i went into a gameshop here called cex, and priced for cash dropped from £30 to 18 overnight. when game shops start dropping prices it means ppl trading in fast. gutted i waited now.
i tried before i weent in shop to play crysis again, as i havent played for weeks now, and yup same old lag fest. it breaks my heart, as it could be good.

ps i cant find anything bout kz3 patch yesterday on official site, where u hear this?

It downloaded yesterday morning when I got on, around 10 or 11 am. The PSN has been dead since yesterday evening, and the Killzone forums use it for posting. They did tweet about it though:

http://twitter.com/#!/KillzoneDotCom/status/60658107411472384

I played yesterday and the map loop bug is completely fixed. Too bad the PSN is down now!

I'm not familiar with CEX since there isn't one here in Manchester, but what about Game/Gamestation and HMV? Have they dropped their prices like that too?

Aren't Tesco's now doing trade-ins too... maybe you could try there?

lol Yeah, HMV are really good for trade-ins. That's why I trade my stuff in there (that and I don't like those arseholes at Game).

Anyone know how much HMV are offering for Killzone 3?

u have two cex in manchester and overall they are best trade in and 2nd hand prices if u are buying too, but always good to check around first, best part is u can check online for prices or order them with free p and p. Hmv have app called re/play too if thats any help to u.

hmv offering 15 cash and 18 trade the robbing gits (generally think hmv are con for new games as they way overpriced, and for buying 2nd hand tbh, but like any shop , its always worth looking in for a bargain.

Im afraid cex no better with 18 trade and 14 cash.

try tesco and blockbuster too etc i guess

cex addresses are:
1 gateway house
picadilly house
mancs
m1 2gh

and

Unit 50 armndale centre
Lower level
mancs
m4 2hv

good luck

The game has so much potential but the low framerate **** it up and the hitbox lagg etc. Framerate is so bad that i got headache and problems with my eyes

Headache part is the main reason why i returned the game, atleast i got full refund from the store, whenever this issues are fixed i am going to buy the game once again.

But I highly doubt that the problems will get dealt with

Return to Crysis
