Hi,

So my problem is on the last quest of the stormcloak quests, the battle on Solitude. I have just completed my assault on fort Hraggstad, and now I have returned to the stormcloak camp to tell Galmar I've done it. When he finishes talking it says that the assault on fort hraggstad quest is complete and the battle on solitude is started, and he tells me to go and talk with Ulfric. However, when he has finished talking, the quest arrow stays above his head.

No matter what I do I can't seem to get the quest to continue - I've spoken to Ulfric, I've gone back to make sure the fort was fully cleared out, I've restarted my game, I've gone back to earlier saves several times and done pretty much the whole stormcloak questline all over again... nothings working. I've tried using console commands, but the ones I'm doing aren't really working.

Has anybody else had this issue, and does anyone know of any way to resolve it? It's quite annoying that I've done all those quests just to be stopped at the final hurdle... Thanks in advance

when you go to ulfric does he just stand there or does he give this crummy speach

Galmar says "We are taking the city, meet the brothers for the attack, fight well or die well, talos be with you" when you approach him, and when you talk to him. Theres no option to say anything back.

Ulfric says a variety of things, such as "Soon we will march on Solitude..." and "I'm glad we have liberated Falkreath...". Then you get the option to say the usual things, such as "Why did you join the war", "Apparently you shouted the high king apart with your voice", "How did you become jarl", stuff like that.

I have the same problem!

Did you change the quest in the quest menu?
I know it's a stupid question but check to see if your quest is to take over Solitude not liberating Skyrim.

I'm stupid, don't worry about it guys. He says go to speak with Ulfric, so I went off to the palace of the kings to speak with him, which did nothing. But when I actually went on to my quests and made the battle of solitude show on the map, I realised that Ulfric was actually in a stormcloak camp outside of solitude, which is where he gave me my orders. It was just the arrow staying over galmar's head that threw me off.
