The jarls are one of the downsides to the Stormcloaks I acknowledge. I think they were shoehorned in though.

Perhaps you and I should live with the Greybeards or the College then.
In my cycle we use to debate about the strongest Draugr.
Igmund himself directly led to their creation.
You prefer to die instead of be threatened?
Been around since 1E1030. They aren't exactly new.
Fill Alinor with clowns! Or was it clouds? Nah, it was tears, and cheese. And some crystals here and there. Waaait. Where's Jyggy at? He's alwas getting into trouble that one. always "organizing" things, and walking or running, never jogging, or anything in between.
Does that answer your question mortal?
...
Wabbajack?
The Forsworn themselves confirmed that Igmund was the real culprit. Notably Braig himself and the Bear of Markarth is hogwash. Plus you could also say that the Silver-bloods already rule Markarth too and Thongvar isn't such a bad person. It's his brother who is the problem and fortunately he is killable. In terms of abandoning her people, Laila's dialogue also suggests otherwise.
Or just go about my business. Did I say I agreed with the way the Greybeards conduct themsleves when it comes to their people's concerns and problems? No, I didn't. So don't put me in with those factions.
I don't get why people hate the older brother.
That's just Thonar, and last time I checked the Silver-blood mines produce half of Skyrims silver, while Maven leads a pack of cuthroats and thieves who make the lives of people miserable and screws Riften.
I guess Ingun Black-Briar must also be as evil as her Grandmother/mother or w.e on account of mere association.
Seriously though is the Black-Briar family incistous or something, cause their status in the CK and their dialogue seem to awfully contradict each other
Thongvar is the one who becomes Jarl in a Stormcloak victory and he definitely cares about both the war and Forsworn meance. Don't like Thonar then just kill him in the Forsworn Conspiracy. The only Stormcloak Jarls I dislike are Korir and Skald the rest are equal to or better than their Imperial counterpart IMO.
In my honest, brutal, anti-anti-anything opinion, I think Skyrim was better off before Talos/Tiber Septim.
They follow Faolen's ways. That's their whole shtick.
