You don't understand Nords then. Nords tend to change their mind a lot. http://www.imperial-library.info/content/nords-lack-creation-myth If they were to make it to Sovngarde, they would be surrounded by other Nords who died a good death. There would be no reason to fight against one another. Often Nords don't care about the why's of the fight, they just want to fight it out. It's generally not a personal thing, least for the Nord. That's why this Civil war sits wrong with me. Many Nords look at the signing of the WGC as an insult to those who died defending Cyrodiil. Honestly, I'm surprised all of Skyrim wasn't unanimous on the idea of leaving the Empire to continue the fight, or even that it took this long for a civil war to break out about it. It goes against a lot of things Nords don't agree with on the whole of their race.
But anyway, it's like two little brothers fighting over a piece of candy. For a while they'll hate each other's guts, but later on in life it'll be a fond memory they both can laugh about.
It's also why many people don't like Nords. The race tends to be barbaric in nature and uncivilized. It's also why I like them so much, they remind me of my own family and school-friends from around Minnesota. If the difference in barbarism and civilization is killing from the front or stabbing in the back, I'd side with the Nords.
