Strange glitch - bar brawls turn hostile

I'm not sure which mod is causing it, SkyRe or Amazing Follower Tweaks, but whenever I try and bar brawl anyone, after I punch them once they immediatley take out their weapons and it becomes a fight to the death, anyone know what is causing this? I've tried using the vanilla unarmed as well as the unarmed weapon in my inventory, and no luck.

You should not use any weapons for Brawls, just your fists. Which means you have to unequip the weapon before you start the brawl.

i think it could be a mod that use a cloak spell for whatever purpose... you should at least post your mods if you really want us to help you...

As an example of what Kazude said, "Get Snowy" is a mod that, unless fixed, can cause what you mentioned to happen.

Edit: Oh and Ebony Mail can also cause this to happen.

Also some vampire mods can cause it, I recall one mentioning that it used a cloak type effect. (Which counts as a magic attack)

As above, It's likely Skyrim's "brawl bug" which makes itself present if a mod uses cloak-spells to effect actors around the player.

Jonwd7 is working on a patch for this.

Personally; im desperately waiting for him to finish so i can update Get Snowy but i think he's busy with Footprints at the moment.

I do not use any of the mods you suggested I do not think, unless they are in SkyRe, but I've tried brawling on a brand new character wearing nothing at all and using normal unarmed and they still get their swords out.
