Strangest Song On Your Playlist

Post » Sun Sep 16, 2012 11:14 am

I only got the stuff on there from CDs I buy, so you wont find weird things like some others posted. But weird songs.

Well there is a Tool song Rosetta stoned. Its about a guy who gets high, sees an alien, and then belives the alien told him about the end of the world. Only he forget his pen, so he couldnt write it down and cant remember what they said.... Damnit the songs in my head again, I blame this threads creator.
I like this song, my grade 10 Math teacher allowed us to listen to our own music with headphones in class. I guess its really good for studying and doing homework since its pretty easy for a 27 minute song to become background noise.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EJ52JZum5I#t=13s. But when I start listening I find it really compelling and feel like I have to listen to the whole thing, it's so strangely hypnotic. Just wait for the voice to kick in :ooo:

There's nothing I'd really count as odd on my mp3 player, the only thing that makes me chuckle to myself is when it'll shuffle from something like Burzum to Curtis Mayfield

Probably Stalaggh's Projeckt Misanthropia which is a half-hour experimental noise/dark ambient project with vocals recorded by actual mental patients inside a ruined monastery. I'd link to it but it's probably not a good idea.

EDIT - actually, you know what, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBR1OE3e60c Listen at your own risk, it isn't very pleasant.

A quote from the artist: "One particular "guest" vocalist was locked away for brutally stabbing his own mother over 30 times to death at the age of 16. One of the "musicians" was almost murdered by another mental patient who reportedly? had uncontrollable homicidal urges during the recording process. According to the band, he sounds of the attempted murder were caught on tape."

Not sure how true that particular quote is but if it is... oh dear

I have no idea what it's called because zune marketplace gave me the wrong song. Anyway, it's about chickens and letting them run free. The singer also says "bawk" a lot.

Probably the strangest is the theme tune to a 1980s video game for the ZX Spectrum called "Pimania". However, my ring tone is a sample of the "phone is ringing" song from Wonderpets, and my text tone is Professor Farnsworth saying "Good news everyone, I'm a horse's butt".

Well I guess you could call this song strange, but I like it. Strange is also a hard thing to define in music.

This creeps me out.

The soundtrack from Suspiria is pretty odd. Dunno if I'd narrow it down to a particular track since the horror ones are, well, horrible and the groovy funk ones are groovy, but still quite odd.

Captain J.T. Spaulding: I'm gonna have to be taking your car today. See I have some top secret clown business that supersedes any plans that you might have for this here vehicle.
[mutual laughter]
Susan: What's that about clown business?
[laughs nervously]
Captain J.T. Spaulding: [pause] Do I stutter, [censored]?

Otis: Consider me [censored]in' Willy [censored]in' Wonka! This is my [censored] chocolate factory! You got it? My factory!

Fanny: What? Are you calling me a [censored]?
Captain Spaulding: I calls 'em like I sees 'em!

Otis B. Driftwood: I think I can still smell your wife's [censored] stink on my gun... hope it doesn't rust the barrel.

Baby: [after Charlie Altamont pulls out a gun] What the [censored] is this [censored]?
Otis B. Driftwood: You bring us all the way out here and this [censored] pulls a gun on us? Nice [censored]in' plan, daisy!
Captain J.T. Spaulding: Just do it! He's a crazy, pig-[censored]in'...
Charlie Altamont: What you call me?

Ahh Stalaggh. Probably the only music I had to muscle my way through listening to, and I still couldn't finish it. Out of curiousity, have you heard their new stuff as Gulaggh?
