Stuck in Potema's Lair

Post » Thu May 24, 2012 10:42 am

I was doing the quest to go and defeat Potema's spirit and retrieve her remains beneath the temple. I'm now stuck trying to get out. At one point while going in you have to stop these three doors from spinning using levers on one side of the door. I stopped them and proceeded through. On the way back I've found that they're spinning again and the controls are on the other side. I can't figure out how to get out of there. I don't see any controls similar to other doors/traps where once you reach the other side you can reset them to an open state. In an adjoining room there are thrones and a grate in the floor, but I can't figure out how to open the great (if it's even possible). One throne allows me to sit upon it, but when I do nothing happens. Anyone know where I am and how to get out? Thanks!

Still stuck in this area. Unfortunately I think I'm just going to re-load before I went through the whole dungeon and see if the doors stay put this time around. Or I'll try and drop something large in their path so they can't start moving again maybe.

Final update for anyone finding this thread later. I reloaded before going into the dungeon, but never received the mission again. I went to the same town where I acquired it, but no messenger approached me. So now I'm off on other adventures. Typical Elder Scrolls... =)

I ran into the same problem when I tried to turn back and leave the dungeon because the Draugr Deathlord in the last wave was kicking my a$$. The only solution I found was to finish that battle so the door in the Sanctum unlocks and you can retrieve the quest item...or reload. If it's any help, you can kite those draugr out into the hallway where they seem reluctant to advance - it gives you some space to retreat and heal, and the draugr are easier to beat since they don't all come rushing into the hallway after you.
