I've had Skyrim since this morning for Xbox and since midnight for PC, but I can't figure out how to get Stump (in Riverwood) to follow me.

In my Xbox save he just sits wedged in the high walkway ropes over the entrance of Riverwood (basically glitched into the scenery) with two kids next to him that say nothing interesting.
On PC he just wanders around with a kid, but on both accounts I tried the kid just says generic stuff.

There is a pre-release picture of Stump following the player, but I can't figure it out.
