stupid hats in fo4

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 4:14 am

I feel that when people say "I'd rather they spend more resources on more important things", and they fail to realize that if they just spent all the effort on "important" things, then we neglect the "fun" things.

I imagine we will have tri-corner hats, for whatever that's worth.

Don't we see a guy in a Tricorn hat, a Minuteman, is one of the E3 releases?

I hope there's a powdered wig in the game for the lulz.

In the gameplay demo we get to talk to one human NPC (not counting the pre-war part) and he's wearing http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Commonwealth_Minutemen?file=Commonwealth_Minutemen.png. So for all the stupid hat fans out there, looks like FO4 is the game for you :D.

Reverse pickpocket silly hats/clothes is my favorite thing in FO3.

My megaton usually looks like a circus. Whe have a guy with a ant head, other with a ed-e head, a woman-mole and all kind of foolish that you can conceive of.

A large floppy wizard hat would be funny.

... Dang, now I want a bicorne and a 18th century officer uniform... With electro-cutlass.

I'll be a new Napoleon.

Yes. I hope there are more masks this time around, though. Bandana'a around the face, gas masks, clown masks, etc. I'm sure some of these will be in, of course, like the gas mask.

We'll get our hats, but I wonder how many of them will be goofy.

I would judge that to be more of a "head" than a "hat." I also judge it to be FAAAAAAAAAA-BULOUS!!!!

Not for me thank you. I would like the game more lore friendly. If I want laughs I'll watch The Big Bang Theory.

Course you can put them in and I'll just never use them. Like that stupid bear head thing.

Almost perfect, I would however prefer the rock it launcher shooting burning teddybears with that outfit.

How is the mere presence of silly hats not lore friendly? They're hats. Not the second coming of Frank Horrigan.

A stupid hat or 'more stupid hats' like the OP wants. How would everyone wearing stupid hats not break lore? I want to get down and dirty with a serious post apocalyptic game, not play clown hunter. It doesn't kill me to have some interesting Easter Egg here or there, but being able to dress my guy/gal up like a fool doesn't interest me.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but Fallout has never been a serious-serious series. It's steeped in tongue-in-cheek jokes and dark humor, and dirty quips. It's way more relaxed than people give it credit for.

However, now when I wear a stupid hat in a Fallout game, I will now forever laugh at the notion that what I am doing, at least to you, is breaking lore, which makes me some sort of terrorist.

I would say that when I see a stupid hat in the game I'll think of you ... but in all honestly I probably won't. But I wouldn't worry about that. As long as I can wear my cowboy hat.

I spent a long time wandering the wastes with Sticky wearing that stupid party hat. (It drove my wife crazy, but I just love his stories!)

Also Charon in Button's wig, Jericho in a pre-war bonnet, and my character in Lincoln's top hat. a little goofiness helps to keep spirits up while wandering the bleak desolate landscape! :twirl:

I loved donning Button Gwinnet's wig in F3 so I have high hopes to don James Otis' in F4.

Awwwwww sheeeeeeeeeeee.

Nothing wrong with silly hats, either. What, people in the 50's era never had any fun? That was the turn-around after a long depression.
