Such a amazing game on PC.

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 6:37 am

I don't get what all the QQing is about..
The game runs great on my rig, no lag, no shuttering and no crashes at all.
If i must dig in deep and name a problem its the frame drops from 80 suddenly to 40 at some moments.
But for the rest? everything works perfect!

Whatsup with the people saying you can't use your mouse at the menu's or inventory?
I can use the damn mouse at much as i want.

Anyways, to keep it short...
Game is amazing, i like how it looks on 1080p (32" screen).
Ofcourse its not a Crytech Engine or Frostbite 2 but whatever man, it looks good enough.

Stop crying, start enjoying.

The game really is amazing. And it runs on older pc on high settings.

About the mouse issue, I guess that happens if you use your keyboard for a second. It's not that big of a deal than people make it. Just try a few things, press a button, click, press escape, open steam community. It'll work.

Most PC gamers just have higher standards than you I guess...

Because the games a poorly done "console to PC port"...

Maybe in 2-3 months when the community does what Bethesda should have done before releasing this game for the PC... The game will great.

Right now the PC version at least in my experience... I've spent more time on this forum looking for fixes/tweaks/bugs then actually enjoying and playing the game.

I guess when I shell out 59.99 for a PC game... I actually expect a PC game. With all the bells and whistles.

This isn't a 29.99 or 39.99 game that one expects from a "console port"... Beth charged the "Full Monty" of console game prices.

And well that's what we got... A console game.

Too bad my game says PC-DVD...

Wow you & many other put PC gamers to shame. If you do not enjoy it then don't play it or for the love of god stop whining. There are so many people saying it just simply takes some getting used to, don't complain so much it isn't helping anything but the dislike many console gamers already have for us PC gamers. Why bc of people like you never being satisfied or doing anything just complaining. Fix it yourself when the toolkit is released, plug in a controller, adapt to the controls, change the key bindings, or refund...not much else you can do. Oh yeah complain about it.

I agree with everything! Game runs smooth as butter and looks fantastic. I'm so amazed at how well optimized this game is! Well done Bethesda, well done! *claps*

As for the interface, I like it! It's really simple and easy to navigate. Also really like being able to use WASD in the menus. =)

Exactly. If they had charged £24.99 on Steam instead of £34.99 I doubt there would be as much complaining.

I must say, it feels so good to be one of the people not having problems with a new release game. Saves me a lot of raging on forums, which I used to do a fair bit of back with my old rig.

Dingleberry has every right to complain if he wants to, he paid his money and his point of view is every bit as valid as those who love the game. Criticizing him because of the *potential* of creating a rift between console and PC gamers is pretty weak. His comment about standards may be elitist, but for every elitist who feels he has higher standards, there is a corresonding fan-boi who will be happy with any piece of pudu that a game company is willing to shovel out at full boat prices.

I don't have an opinion on this because my game still says "preload". But if it turns out to be a poorly implemented console port that doesn't feel like the PC game that I paid for, I'm going to feel free complaining too. I hope that isn't the case, and I hope I can join the fanbois, but I sure am not going to fault anyone for their opinion or tell them to ST FU. because of gamer relations lol.

Everyone, thanks for this. You made my day. I remember when I bought Oblivion and it stuttered like crap right out of the box. I'm hopeful my I7, 4 gig of ram, 512 mb graphics card can at least get some kind of performance out of this game.

Oh please, please tell me it's so . . .

It's running smoothly for me at ultra-high settings, looks great, I am finding kb/m controls a little clunky at the moment but to be fair I take a while to find the controls of any new game intuitive, and the default control keys are not completely the same as OB (which I've been playing for the past couple of weeks) so I'm going to be hitting the wrong buttons until I get used to it, finding myself in the wrong menu etc. But I will get used to it. I'm not having any issue using the mouse so far - just using a very basic MS type mouse with scroll wheel and it's working fine, I remapped the mouse buttons so that LMB controls left hand and RMB controls right which is better than the default setting which I was finding a bit mind-boggling!.

I said it for 6+ months now and have been dodging all the freakin' hate from the "fan boys"...

I had the smallest glimmer of hope I would be wrong... Until I installed it and fired it up.

I wasn't even really that upset, because deep down I knew it would be a "port"... I just didn't realize it would be this bad of one.

I buy and play games on a PC for a reason... PC oriented menu and interface. PC oriented optimization and graphical settings. The ease of and depth of interacting with your mouse on games of this genre. All the customization that comes with owning and gaming on a PC.

But what I got... Just makes me irritated more than angry.

Only reason I don't just give up on PC gaming is because of Diablo 3 eventual release...

But man... I'm so close to just finding another hobby. It's just crappy console port after console port after console port. Mixed in with buggy unfinished games, DRM and 5 buck bi-weekly DLC thrown in your face.
