SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LIE!

Has anyone else noticed the total lack of support that Microsoft itself has given to Crysis2? Weeks before release of COD Black Ops' new map pack it appeared on the spotlight channel... It's still there! The new Retaliation map pack for Crysis 2 never appeared on the spotlight channel and I had to search for it in game addons... And that was the week it was released! If Microsoft itself has decided not to support this game due to it's multiplayer issues and thereby reflecting on it's own XBox Live service, it follows then, that this game must be dead in the water.
I suggest you enjoy Crysis 2 for the rest of the summer, because when the big boys come to town; Battlefield 3 and MW3, Crysis 2 will become nothing but a footnote in gaming history. It's headstone will read; SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LIE!

I was there on the day after release and I had to search for the new map pack in game adons. Maybe a region issue?, but it still shows total lack of support on behalf of Microsoft.

Multiplayer issues in a particular game do not reflect on XBL. They fall squarely on the shoulders of the Developer. (In this case, Crytek.)

If there is an issue with a particular game, you don't blame XBL, do you? That's like blaming the internet for a poorly constructed website.

Who cares if the DLC was on the Spotlight channel? I got my DLC in-game via the 'Downloadable Content' section. Didn't have to search for it at all. Besides, in order for a game to be promoted on XBL, there has to be an agreement between XBL and the games publisher. So, again, don't blame XBL, blame EA.

I'm sorry to hear you will stop playing C2 when BF3 and MW3 are released. I'm sure you are not alone, but as for me and others who love C2, we'll still be playing. (I'll be playing all 3... I see no reason not to play all the FPS's that I enjoy.)

Regards.

You missed my point Boo. If a game is not performing as it should on XBox Live and there is a mass of controversy about it, do you really think Microsoft wants it good name dragged through muck and mire? I don't think so. What they'll want to do is distance themselves as far away as possible from a game that gives it's service a bad name. And let's be honest, compared to any other online game you care to mention this is a dog. And yes I'm still playing Crysis 2.... I'll reboot once then chuck it in the bin. A BEAUTIFUL LIE INDEED.

You're point is taken, sir. And I respect your opinion although I disagree. I do acknowledge that no game is without it's flaws. More so when we delve into online gaming.

I'm one of the people who completely enjoys C2 MP. I know we are few, so perhaps I am biased.

And that's my point Boo.. You are indeed few. When the aformentioned games appear in November you will be fewer still. Let's see how many are playing Crysis 2 in mid November.... You know what?, I think i'll keep my copy and chuck it the drive in mid November and see who's there..... Hello.... hello... err

I'l still play Crysis 2 in november, its a one of a kind game. I mean, name a game which you wear a suit of some sort that has a cloak and armour. And makes you faster and makes you jump higher. (Apart from Brink with the jumping and movement)
