You're constantly being prodded, harangued and generally pestered with requests for information on when new patches and DLC's are available for the three platforms, in addition to being deluged by the protestations of those who simply do not wish to wait.
Here's a method for ameliorating this:
Create a timeline.
The timeline should include a bit of history - game release, patches, and DLC's per platform. There should then be projections/plans for the future outlined per quarter (no need to be more specific.) The projections can be qualified, of course - for instance, the DB release could be described as "currently planned as Q2 release for PC and PS3" (I'm just pulling this out of my butt, folks, don't take that as an official statement of ANY sort.) You could do the same for patches. Example: 1.8 for pc might be scheduled for, say, Q1 2013, with plans labelled as 'tentative' for a 1.9 in Q3 and a 2.0 in Q1 2014 (which could be labelled as "in discussion/planning phase.") You could follow the same scheme for DLC's and expansions beyond DB.
See what I mean? You'd basically be telling folks that there is a 'roadmap' which is subject to change, but which nevertheless is used as a reference and guide for activity. This gives visibility without forcing Bethesda to a very fixed commitment.
Providing this level of information would eliminate a lot of the UNCERTAINTY, which is the primary cause of anxiety in the fan base.
This is just a friendly suggestion. Hope y'all don't feel discomfited by it.
