Suggestion: Bluray HD edition for PC

Post » Wed Oct 05, 2011 12:48 pm

I would like to suggest this idea to the developers:

Release the original 125GB uncompressed, full HD resolution hand painted textures on a speical HD edition. Two or three dual layer Bluray discs could easily fit all 125GB of textures with no to minimal compression.

In a year or two Bluray drives will be common in new PCs. I have already purchased a cheap LG Bluray drive for my gaming PC, and my new *mid range* HP laptop even has a Bluray drive.

I doubt they even still have the uncompressed textures, if they ever existed to begin with. Any technology that requires 125GB of data to look as good as a 17GB game like The Witcher 2 is just complete crap.

Is that screenshot on a buggy version or a good version? Did you let the textures load properly?

Was how the game was looking after any turn to the left or right, even with the updated updated AMD drivers.

This fixed it however: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1236967-significant-texture-pop-in-fix-works-for-most/

PC community FTW.
