Suggestion: For Books

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 10:48 pm

It would be nice to know if I've already opened and 'read' a book by simply having the hover text say "Reread". That way I know that I already have it in the collection, or I've received that skill bonus already. A small but handy suggestion. And my memory is [censored]e, so that's why I'm making the suggestion :D

Yep, and 'already talked to' on npcs and 'already looked at' on chests.
In big red font you see through walls.

Ok well that was a sesriously smart alec answer. Anyway I'm inclined to agree with the OP. There are so many books and I want to read them all, I've actually started making a list of all the titles I've read. Tedious, but I am starting to remember some of the titles, so now when faced with a bookshelf full of books, I at least know *some* of the ones I've already read : )

I didn't take this to be a smart alec answer, you have good points even if there is some sarcasm laden in there :P

My real point was that I don't usually even read the books, but I want all the benefits from reading them (quests, skill points). And actually some of them I do read. In fact, in order to kind of solidify what my character's 'role' will be in Skyrim, I read up on some lore to learn more about everything that was going on since talking to people is so limited. Anyways... it would be nice to have some kind of indicator to show that I've opened that book before. Just like on the world map you can tell which ones you've discovered, which ones you've cleared, and which ones you haven't been to yet.
