Suggestion on the teleport system

Elder Scrolls Online seems really balanced and a very well-made game already, however there is one aspect I severely question, and that is the teleport system.

Sure I guess it makes sense that a teleportation system would be a quick and easy way to replace the Fast-travel system from Oblivion and Skyrim; but I think that a way to teleport shouldn't be severely made for EVERY location discovered. Maybe to like specific areas, like Shrines, or Holds/Castles/Villages. The general teleport system in-game right now speeds up the game to an extent of making it almost being unbelievable. Look at Skyrim, it had a fast-travel point for every single location discovered, which really seemed to speed up the game for me, to the point were I was able to beat four questlines in a single day.

If you're interested, here's my suggestion;

Make a teleport system that works by sending you to the nearest major City or structure, we don't need teleports every 5 feet, try to space them out.

I can see how this would flaw you with your current way of spawning a group/friend at the nearest safe area. Alternatively you could just spawn them at the nearest village/hold/city.

If the person they are trying to teleport to is in a dungeon or a combat specific area separated from the rest of the world you can just have them teleport in at the beginning of that area.

Hope I don't sound too bashful here, I just think that the teleport system seems a bit of a game speed-up.

You can only travel between Wayshrines. It's nothing like it was in Oblivion or Skyrim.

Haven't played the beta, and if I did I couldn't tell you. But I'm sure there will be several per zone. I'm sure they are all quite a distance between them. They are just there to help people be able to get places quicker, but not as quick as in Skyrim.

They've also talked about some costs for certain wayshrines and also a cooldown I believe.
