SUGGESTION : Unlocking x y z

Post » Wed Oct 31, 2012 2:03 am

Hi

i do not know if the game has class specific spells/talents/abilities/ultimates.

But if there are,

I would want to suggest that, after you level up your 1st character to level 50, you get an option to make an advanced character that could explore and obtain any spell/talent/ability/ultimate in game.

Meaning you could train any ultimate/spell/talent/ability, you could learn and skill up it normally from the tree it is bound in to.

- - - - - -

- After levelling up to 50, player(s) have the know how to make the 2nd advanced character.
- This would mean total freedom to players to build a character they have had dreams about.
- It would not be Overpowered as you can only have 5 talents/spells/abilities and one ultimate at a time in quickbar
- It would fit in the lore of Elder Scrolls, in Skyrim i can learn everything if i want to, it just takes a lot of time and effort.
- By making this possible, you could also include vampirism and warewolf talent trees later in game or addon to give special stuff to any race/character combo making the game mind blowing experience.

If it would not be possible, then i think (in my head) the game breaks the lore of Elder Scrolls, as in all games before TESO, we could learn any ability/spell in game. (racials not included).

That is my suggestion, /sign if you approve and please make logical suggestions and corrections.

And please keep it cool, no trolling etc.

I dont like this idea. I am actualy class supporter, because without it, IT WOULD BE overpowered. And everyone, ever, would use only 6 - 7 most useful and effective abilities.

Not gonna work.

I dont want that crap. Its completely against lore, its completely unrealistic, its just nonsense, man. If someone is sorcerer, let him choose which kind of magic he wants, but dont make wearing a heavy armor, sneaking, and, for example swinging with a 2H sword useful for him.

And i hope that its not going to be implemented.

What are the 6 most effective abilities ? (quickbar is 6 and one of them is ultimate)

I already know you can learn

or so so ~~

So lets see, my OP skill selection would be,

button 1 : 2h weapon special attack (2h mace stun+dmg a bit)
button 2 : self heal
button 3 : alteration shield
button 4 : fire shield (destruction tree)
button 5 : archery ranged big hit attack
button 6 : dps or support ultimate

i would use heavy armor and put my stats to 25% magica rest 50% 50% to hp and stamina.

but the thing is, i can already do that in TESO, so how would my suggestion change the outcome ?

Just to point out, a mage in heavy armor is precisely the definition of the "sorcerer" class in previous ES games. Also battlemage, and spellsword. We also have sneaky mages (nightblades, although your mileage may vary on that one), and magic users with big weapons (crusaders, I guess).

I'm not against "replay value", so this class-switching at high level has some potential, but I will most likely be sticking with one character. The only thing I would make a new one for is exploration, but that's a whole different kettle of fish which is amply agitated in other threads.

Its just a [censored]. Mage with gigantic spear, with huge metal shield in second hand, and Xbow on his back, with healing, and sneaking. I mean WTF. Its like to have a man here in our world, who finished Chemical uni, Physics, Math, English literature, Mongol Literature, Military Academy, Political Uni, Circus workshop, and so on.

One person can spec only in one thing, and semi-spec in, lets say, anohter 2 similar things.

Keep it REAL.

Yes, i know that there is mage class which is wearing Heavy Armor. But thats it. Magic, Heavy Armor, and Weapon. No sneaking. No archery. There is a sneaky mage as well, WithHunter. But again. No Heavy Armor. No Swords skill, No meele weapons at all.

As i said, specializing in 1 or 2 things is possible. But specializing in just EVERYTHING is impossible.

And with their class system, you will be able to pick more than 1 specialization. As a mage, you wont be stucked just with Fireball. But Mage′s strongest advantage should be Magic. Its a damn mage after all.

Battle Mage , that is Elder Scrolls 1 on 1

ES is much different then old skool D&D etc games, where you are forced to use cloth if you were a caster.

It just does not make sence, in ES games to date you can enchant your heavy armor with stat/skill boosts that enchance your magic abilities.

imo its all about freedom how you want to build your ES character that represents the whole Elder Scrolls lore/genre

Player builds a disturbing character and its all viable in the end.

We are keeping it real, one player has a quickbar with 6 slots and one of them is his ultimate.

And you are trying to say that without class syste, there will be 500 kinds of different setups avaiable and same effective and useful?

Did you see what happened to WoW when 3.0.3a retribution Paladin rewamp came? WHOLE DAMN world played a paladin, because it was easiest, strongest, and you could do everything as a paladin.

thus classes make the game bad, it is best to give the players the freedom to build their own characters and not force them to play one class if they feel it is OP. (and i played WoW then and not all played that class tree combo).

i mean if you have already played the game thru with one character to 50 (or well not thru but to 50).

what is the harm to give an option to build a new char with the options already available to some classes ? mixing and testing the different combos (quickbar 6 slots one of them is for ulti) is in my opinion one of the most interesting things this game can offer.
