*SUGGESTION* - Zoom for Character Creation

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 8:47 pm

I have no idea if this has been mentioned, but I know at least for me, it's hard to see the facial changes I'm making during character creation. I think I would like the ability to zoom out and in on the face to make those changes, if possible. I think Oblivion automagically zoomed in on the face when you were making changes there, if I remember correctly? Anyways, thanks for listening!

i would also like them to remove the shadows on the right side of your face (the left side of the character creator). it makes it really hard to see details on that side of your face.

Some kind of actual camera control would be really nice. I do appreciate being able to turn my character's head, but some zoom/camera revolve ability would help a lot.

P.S. Why is this thread in the "spoilers" section?

Glad to see others feel the same way. I was squinting big time trying to see what the heck I was doing to my character during creation! And some bits like "eye tint" were completely impossible to observe at the distance you are from the character. A bit frustrating. i mean we're given such great customization, but we can't tell what we're doing. :/

Oh because I thought people would have only experienced this when playing the game. Is there a Suggestions board?

Agreed, my TV isn't a huge HD masterpiece so when changing things like eyes I can hardly even tell the colors half the time.

If you're on PC, you could temporarily change your FOV to a lower setting in order to zoom in on your character's face a bit more.

Yeah, unfortunately that's not really how I envisioned it - more like as a seamless part of the creation process. if we work on the face we want to see it up close. And from up, down, and back. I can't even lift my guy's chin to see how his jawline changed. :( The tools are here, we are just unable to adequately get close enough to our character to see what's happening - especially when requires faint touches, like dirt tint and eye color and eye tint, etc. There's just got to be a renovation to the character creation system in this way, I think. Although I appreciate your workaround, I just want it to work like it should. We have so many intimate changes we can make and I'd love to see them in action! :D

Bethesda Santa, this is on my Christmas List, k? I love the character creation process so much and this bums me out that I can get close enough to watch what I'm making. :/ I've been nice, not naughty I promise!! :)
