Super creatures

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 9:21 pm

I remember seeing somewhere that 'super' creatures will be even more 'super' in FO: NV and also that deathclaws won't be the hardest creature in the wasteland, not that they were - I found Reavers and Overlords the most challenging. Any confirmation on this or was someone bsing me?

In any case I hope there are stronger 'super' creatures in New Vegas; such as an http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Endless_Walker. Any other 'super' possibilities?

I'd like to see http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gehenna make a showing

In that case I want a Molech

Edit: We could have both of them, it seems. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Burham_Springs
The Agricola robots can be found there, as well as horribly mutated creatures called the Gehennas and the Molechs.

Would be nice with some tougher enemies, but not if they're damage sponges.
If I wanted to shoot at one enemy all day long I'd play fallout 3. ;)

I want to see intelligent deathclaws ( If there's another group of them still surviving) that can speak. Deathclaws are one of the most impressive and awesome creature i have ever seen in a game....
I also want to see the gehennas... Those hulking abominations are surely scary! I got goosebumps if i see them in the dark....

That thing looks rather similar to a Trog from The Pitt.

I want to see a giant mutated swallow, or pigeon dive out of the sky and swoop me up so I can be fed to it's children. I am surprised there aren't birds in any Fallout.

How about a human on par with the PC? Some high-level human NPC that has spent a similar amount of time wandering the wastes, collecting unique gear and powerful weapons. The AI for this character would make them use player techniques like firing while retreating, or circle-strafing, making it one of the deadliest NPCs out there. In a perfect world, there would be multiple encounters with this same individual, a greedy merc that will try to sabotage your progress or steal your jobs out from under you.

Yeah murloc's you'd here rgrglglg!! as they chase you in your low levels in a mob. lol =P but I think that something that flies in the air and lands and starts attack you, it'd add in an element of surprise and you'd never know when to expect it, save maybe a screech from it before it starts to land! EDIT: also, it should land behind you too!

I'd be okay with that. I don't want the real-time combat to pause when the NPC is selecting targets though, so maybe you just hear their pip-boy activating every once in a while. Assuming the nemesis has a pip-boy that is....

Just another thought: The nemesis could also be a cyborg or android, thus looking human, but not requiring the explanation of having a pip-boy to engage in VATS style combat.
