Agreed. It is odd, that a bear is more dangerous than a dragon, but there you go.

Are you that level with skills that would actually be useful in combat? If youre raising a lot of levels from selling stuff and other non combat skillls then youre really like 5 levels lower than you should be

Is it bad that I have trouble taking on bears when I've fought 4 dragons and owned them? Is it bad the fighting a bear is harder than fighting Alduin? nope its not it ads spice to the game

To put it simply, Skyrim is harder. I find that to be an easy way to look at it. I feel more like a badass when I slay the epic wildlife that way.

Its hard at lower levels, when I was 14 Frost Troll would murder me in 2 hits, now im 28 and he barely does damage. Im playing on Master btw and using legendary ebony armor atm, heavy. Im thinking to take of legendary from armors because if im so tough now how tough will I be with legendary daedra armor? It would be too easy.

I think bears are harder because once a bear charges you, it keeps coming, where as a dragon will hit you a few times wiped out half your life, then fly up into the air, so you can heal.
I think dragons could be way harder if could change their style based on your life bar. Like if they did wipe out half your bar, instead of flying away to circle around you, then would try to eat you or stomp you.

I'm at level 10 and crossed 2 bears in the mountains. After many tries I finally got them both exploiting the terrain so they could not reach me, shooting arrows perched on nearby rocks.
But still it was not easy and took a long time since they would flee after one or two arrow and I had to get back of my safe position...

I'd probably not go into heavy armor/melee as a caster since it seems to be gimping it severely. Why I think this is because: to become a good caster you need magicka and magicka regen (most of the +%x dmg and healing too but can be found on some heavy armor) which heavy armor lacks. To become a good melee you will need to level up something that doesn't benefit you as a caster thus hampering your ability as a caster. Stealthy caster might work tho. Plus there's the stamina vs magicka too as core stats.

I never had any problem at all vs any of those mobs as a melee focused character (meeting at least bears from level 8+).

i think you might be underestimating the size and thickness of a bear
also i dont think bears get 'hurt' like people get hurt

i may be wrong or exaggerating slightly but i do know that one axe to the head will not stop a bear from killing you
it might die later if youre lucky? (lucky but dead)
