SureAI looking for a scriptermodeler

Hello everyone!

My name is Nicolas (aka Latiro) and I'm a part of the German modding team SureAI. I've been lurking through these forums in the past months, mainly asking for scripting advice.

Our team has been active in the modding community of Bethesda's games (Morrowind, Fallout, Oblivion, Skyrim) for over 9 years and we've released games such as the mod "Cube Experimental" for Fallout 3 (http://www.moddb.com/mods/cube-experimental) which made it into Moddb.coms Top 5 "Best Singleplayer Mod 2009", The Morrowind-TC "Arktwend - The forgotten realm" (http://www.moddb.com/mods/arktwend-the-forgotten-realm) and, our biggest project so far, the Oblivion TC "Nehrim - At Fate's Edge" which won the Best Singleplayer Mod 2010 from Moddb.com and got over 700 000 downloads worldwide.

We're currently working on Nehrims succesor, a Skyrim Total Conversion called "Enderal - The Shards of Order.. We've been developing for roughly 4000 hours so far, and we're aiming to surpass Nehrim with this title. This time we're also planning to suceed in an equally professional English synchronization (Luckily enough, we already got almost all of the main roles voiced by professionals who contacted us due to the success of Nehrim) and want to make the story even more complex, darker and emotional than Nehrim's story. We're planning to combine the fascinating open-world setting of Skyrim with a philosophical, deep storyline which leaves the player thoughtful and touched. We're ambitious, but we're equally commited and experienced at the same time, and we're driven by passion for what we're doing rather than money or prestige.

However, as you can imagine, creating and completing a Total Conversion is a tremendous amount of work, and, even though we've already faced a similar challenge before, a struggle at some points. To make the long story short, we're currently looking for a 3D-Artist and, even more important, a Papyrus scripter who wants to be part of our team. We can mainly offer you three things: An impressive portfolio piece if you're planning to join the industry and, which should be your main motivation, to be part of something massive with realistic chances of succeeding. Finally, we're always trying to give everyone as much artistic freedom as possible, so that you're not simply someone realizing someone else's ideas.

On the other hand, we'd like you to be commited and reliable. I realize that these two words are two attributes everyone would usually assign to themselves, but we really mean it. In the past 9 yrs,, we've experienced about anything, from people simply disappearing and leaving whole areas without generated pathfinding (which the commited members had to complete) to people trying to join our team simply to apply somewhere with SureAI as a reference and than simply quitting. We want you to be equally infected with the idea than we are, and we want to be able to count on you. You also need a reference, such as a completed modding project or samples of your work, so we know that you are able to realize your ideas.

If anyone is interested in contributing to this project in the mentioned areas, please send me an e-mail to latiro@sureai.de . If we all get along well, than applicants have to go through a trial phase, to see whether they're really commited. Afterwards, the whole team decides whether the applicant can join or not. This is just a matter of precaution - I think any experienced developer knows why we're doing this. ;-)

All the best!

Latiro
