I haven't really played much the last few weeks. I picked it back up for a couple days after Automatron came out, but I'm basically just waiting for survival mode to come out. I'm itching to start a new character. The beta should be here this week, so our wait is almost over.

I'm the same. I don't even know if I'll pick the game back up until the second story DLC we're getting.

With Uncharted 4 coming out before Far Harbor my time is going to be on that.

I have actually considered just setting the game aside until ALL of the DLC is out, but I don't know if I want to wait that long or not. I did need a bit of a break from the game though. It's not really that I was getting bored with it or anything. I was just starting to get burnt out on it after putting around 700 hours into it since it launched.

why can't the beta come on consoles too if the DLC beta can?

Because the DLC betas are a final pass of the final product. The survival testing is based in mechanics rather than content and has the potential to brick your save files. It is a bit harder to recover these files on systems that don't allow access to their config files.

It's pretty much the same reason mods have never been supported up until this point.

I don't know much about the consoles availability for mods but I assume mods going to consoles still need to go through a review and green light process.

Sometime after the beta, hence the word "release" ;)

But on the release of the Beta, there's no concrete date set, they just said "sometime this week".
