Are we really going back to morrowind? If we are, and its good, this redeems dawnguards lackluster (imo) performance. I really hope this is going to come soon. Just thinking about going back to morrowind in HD graphics makes me excited even though its a long way off. What are your opinions on this?

Obviously extremely excited.

The concept of riding a dragon has been a dream of my mine, and living that dream will be quite nice to fulfill.

Please seeing an actual new land scape, that's a bit varied compared to the rest of skyrim will be nice as well.

All on all can't wait. Will make skyrim that much better of an experience..an experience that is already one of the best to date.

Technically, we are not going back to Morrowind but one of it's expansions. Things like Telvanni and Redoran settlements are icing on the cake. I suspect this will be Skyrim's version of Morrowind's Tribunal/Bloodmoon, Oblivion's Shivering Isles, Fallout 3's Point Lookout (aka it will blow the vanilla game out of the water).

I doubt that this is the last Skyrim dlc pack.

I have a feeling bethesda has another "ace" up their sleeve.

You're going back to the island of Solthsheim... you're NOT going back to the whole region Morrowind.

I'm really getting concerned by some players... they're literally acting like this DLC is going to be Morrowind 2 or something. >_<

It should be Morrowind 2. I'd buy that full price.

I said this earlier in another thread today, but being that I never played Morrowind I'm looking very forward to this DLC. I've still considered getting Morrowind and playing through it, but it will be equally fun to play through the DLC as well. Watching the trailer and reading everything in the discussion threads, my excitement for what's in store has only grown.

When people say "going back to morrowind" I think of the province, not the game :P

Solstheim is not part of Morrowind. But the last time I was in Solstheim, there were no regions like that one Dunmer village that looked like something straight out of Vvaardenfell, so who knows. We may get a tiny island in addition to Solstheim. After the Red Year, who knows what happened to the landscape - there could be tons of islands now.

Its been in the lore for a while now plus you have yet to see its implementation. Calm thy self and respect peoples opinions. Even "cool" ideas can add to the story when used properly. Things like cutscenes and setpieces go hand in hand with dalogue. Doesnt matter how moving a npcs backstory is if the npc just stands there. Acting is one part dialogue but two parts delivery. We have to wait and see how its used.

So the next DLC is Solstheim? [censored] yeah.

Dawnguard was probably Skyrims Tribunal and this next one is the Bloodmoon.

I doubt it's house Redoran. That was being picked apart during the Oblivion crisis by House Telvanni and House Hlaalu. Perhaps they've recovered, but that's unlikely since most Dunmeri began to revolt against the Tribunal. And House Redoran is pretty much the Tribunal's puppet.

the video already showed us everything.
mission: go to island, uncover mystery, kill boss, reward ride dragon
game finish

island probably takes 5 min to run from 1 end to the other.

Well, since you already know everything, you shouldn't buy it.

Good for you, you know. It saves money and time you'll never get back....

Do you guys think that modders will be able to use some of the new assets that are used in Solstheim in order to make a part of Morrowind?

Solstheim, is technically a part of Morrowind. Since a LOT of refugees from Vvardenfell now live there, and with them their culture and customs, it is correct to say in fact WE ARE RETURNING to Morrowind.

Well, it took them some long years to make morrowind playable from oblivion, and their ban as illegal use of meshes and textures. But yes, that team is doing something amazing. I hope they achieve their goal. Imagine, you can play the migration to Solstheim and then, continue with same character 200 years later.
In Morroblivon, you can play the Morrowind entire game and travel between Cytodiil and Morrowind, wich allowed you the possibility to continue the gameplay as the same character continuously. I hope they made it, but we′ll see.

I meant an actual part of Morrowind, perhaps the western part which is directly east of Skyrim. I know that Solstheim will be very similar to what Morrowind was but I was just suggesting a future mod.

We can only hope. The city of Blacklight is just outside the Dwemereth passage, in the other side of Windhelm. But considering the size of the migration, the city may be just in their first stages of rebuild. According to the video of the new DLC, the Red Mountain is still active and unloading high amounts of ashes.
But I share your desire

please tell me that is a rumor, i dont keep up with news much (buing GOTY and want to be suprised at the changes), but this just sounds too horrible even for beth's newest demographic

OT: the best part of visiting morrowind is i can finish what argonia started, those ash-svckers won't know what hit 'em!
