If I play with a 1h weapon + shield equiped and I switch to a bow (using the favorites) and then switch back to my 1h weapon, does my character is with 1h weapon only or 1h + shield ?

both I think, I never used a shield yet, but I use dual wielding. If I take a bok, when I select back the sword on my right hand, the left one is there too

I play on Xbox, I have my sword equipped to one favorite and my bow equipped to the other. If you are using a bow, and you press the d-pad to go back to sword, the game remembers whatever you have been using in your left hand. If it was a shield, you go back to shield, if it was a torch or spell or whatever, you go back to whatever you last equipped.

The shield comes back automatically when you re-equip the sword.

Shield or second weapon automatically comes back unless removed from the inventory or the player has been disarmed with a shout.
