[REQ] Switching enchantments (SPOILER DBTHIEVES)

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 10:12 pm

Don't read the following if you have not completed the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild.

Spoiler
I have received the ancient shrouded gloves and I been using it all along. I really like the added damage (30x multi) and I cannot play without it. Now I just started the Thieves Guild and received the Nightingale set. I simply love how it looks, except the enchantments on my gloves are messed up.

Can someone do me a favor and switch the following enchantments? http://i.imgur.com/tBp2O.jpg

So my Nightingale gloves will end up with the "double sneak attack damage with one-handed weapons" enchantment.

Thanks for reading!

Once the CK is released it would be very easy to change enchantments on items. But personally I feel that it fits the overall theme of DB's primary purpose (to kill people quickly), while thieves guild is more about breaking in and stealing things without killing people. ;)

Not sure if the increase in damage for One-Handed Weapons also affects backstabbing damage, but I'm guessing it should..?

I would just want to be able to disenchant the 2x backstab honestly. Then put it on other gear that I choose. Can't wait until I can mod gear. Gonna do a 'GOD' run after I finish up my first play. Hopefully this can be achieved before I get my wisdom teeth yanked (a lot of downtime).

I am RPing a thief/assassin that follows a set of rules and the nightingale armor really adds to it. In a way it makes my character feel complete. The ancient shrouded armor is good as well, but it makes my character look way too thin.

I tested it out, and thought it was working but something is up.

- If I run to an enemy using them gloves and hit them in stealth - I do a 15x multiplier damage.
- If I use the shrouded gloves I get a 30x multiplier.
- If I use the shrouded gloves, and then equip the new nightingale gloves, then I get the 30x multiplier.

Any idea what could cause this?

And now it somehow works right from the start, weird, very weird.

Either way, thanks man! You made my day. I will endorse whenever the site allows me to!

Can't get this to work. I have the .esp in the folder and can click data files to open the prompt but it's empty. Am I missing anything else?
