During my first playthrough, after stepping back out of the time vortex, I found an Ancient Nord Sword at the top of the mountain. It seems to be one of the Nord heroes' sword from the past. During my current playthrough, however, its not showing up. Does anyone have any idea how to get it to appear?

I want to enchant it, name it Alduin's Bane, and use it to whoop up on that old fogey.

haha i always notice the sword as well.. i just think it glitched through from sovngarde or skuldalfin .. idk but that would be a great idea! never thought about that

Dunno, but I know you can make an Ancient Nord Hero sword at the Skyforge if you have the steel perk.

Re-forging it was part of the plan as well. I think I'm SOL, though. I've played through it a couple of times and it hasn't shown up for my current character.

Last 4 times i completed the MQ it has happened to me all those times.............. i just thought that it was Bethesda's way of saying "oh here have cookie" ...

Did you have to wait a certain ammount of time, or did you perhaps have to complete the main quest first?

no it just popped up right after Tsun shouted me back to the throat of the world, i look down and there the sword is. every time
