Can we all just take a step back for 10 freaking minutes and stop loving/hating this game based on a few hours we've put into it.

If you've dropped a substantial amount of time on the title already, like 10 hours plus, then go ahead - judge. But if you're one of those morons who keeps making a thread like "Just got done intro omg best/worst game evar!!1!1" then please, play the game more before making a review thread. No one wants to heard you b*tch based on 45 minutes of gameplay, and no one wants to hear blind, hollow love for the Elder Scrolls name either.

I'm not whining, and I fail to see how it's "whining" at all. I'm simply saying that I (and I'm not the only person..) don't want to hop on the boards and see "omfg this game svcks, I just got to riverwood and been playing for like 20 minutes" threads. I also don't want to see blind love with "THANKS BETH, BEST GAME EVER JUST CREATED MY CHARACTER!" threads.

If your other post was referencing the dumb questions you can ask other NPC's (ie: "What's gray-mane?") then I definitely agree. I'm playing a Nord character, so you'd think they would know the difference between Gray-Mane and Battleborn without asking.

The OP is soooooooo wrong. If the game is bad in the first 45 minutes why should someone try 12 hours to see if it gets better? Same thing for if the game is great for the first 45 min why not say it? So many times lately games do not become fun right away and would be nice to see that some games can drag you in right away.

I think it's fair critisim, so many games, I stopped playing because I couldn't get into it. I have given it 2 or 3 hours (more than 45 min) but I think that is fair that the game is crap. No way I am going to invest 12 or more hours to see if it gets better.

One more thing, if you do not like the complaints or love affair people have for Skyrim, DO NOT READ THEM. You can control what your read.

Once again, you're calling me out for being "angry" when I have demonstrated none of the traits that an angry person might exhibit. I'm not going to get angry over a video game, to be quite honest. If anything you're the one with delusions of grandeur. The difference between you and me is the fact that I can actually spell out words like "grandeur" and "savior" correctly.

And I never once said people weren't allowed to have opinions, I simply said that most people should play the game for more time than they have been to get a well-rounded view of the game before coming on here and making a love/hate rant. You can't write a good review of the game by walking to Whiterun and fighting a pair of wolves.

Saying "10 hours plus" might have been a bit of an exaggeration, and I think that 2-3 hours would be a pretty appropriate amount of time spent playing before giving a review of it for sure. I have to disagree with you on the idea that 45 minutes it's a big enough time span to give you a good feel for a game that is this big with so much content. Especially when the first 30 minutes are spent in cutscenes or following a pre-determined route.

You're complaing here that people are voicing their opinions "too early". By your reasoning, if people are annoyed by bugs in their first hour of play, they should continue for another 9 hours.

True enough, I hadn't considered the spelling over seas. Although I've never heard anyone say that "pedantry is the final resort of a failing argument." Especially when this isn't really an argument (is it?) I'm simply setting forth an opinion and trying to offer people advice that the first 45 minutes of Skrim is not a good indicator of the game, considering how much of it is scripted and how little you're actually allowed/capable of doing in that short a time.

Quite honestly, for as "mad" as you think I am you seem rather angry yourself. You continue to insinuate that you're the better, more intelligent person yet you keep throwing up an angst filled defense using attacks against me personally. I think it's safe to say I hit the nail on the head with a few of my claims, and that you can't possibly enjoy coming on the forums and seeing countless threads saying the same exact thing about how someone hates or loves this game from the main menu alone. It seems to me that given your many quips against my person, you're just searching for a fight and I'm not sure why, because it clearly isn't going to happen at this point.
