Take Control of Solstheim

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 5:48 am

Im wondering if its possible that by the end of the DLC we can take control of solstheim like its jarl or king? They made you a daedric prince of a realm in oblivion for freaks sake, maybe its not so farfetched of an idea? Speculate.

I hope so. Really wanted to be a Jarl of a hold in Skyrim. I'm going to say I don't think we will, but one can hope right.

Yes, a thousand times this. The old DB used to rule over Solstheim, so why shouldn't the new DB? I want a palace, a kingdom and lots of servants.

When the old DB ruled it probably would have been in the Merethic era where Solstheim was alot different and less populated.

I hope not. Too much political implications with that. Solstheim is part of Morrowind now. If we can rule over it, Beth would have to ignore much established lore.

I would love that and perhaps you could side with one of the houses and the respected soldiers of that house would become your own army :D

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Solstheim According to most lore it wasn't found until the third era and nobody owns it so you could in theory rule it but you wouldn't be a jarl.

I don't really like the title of jarl anyway. I would gladly rule as king or lord.

Morrowind owns it.

"Lord of Solstheim"...

Damn... That sounds awzum.

Morrowind owns it.

Yes, the Nords gave it to them after the Red Year. But that doesn't exclude the
possibility of potential lordship over the island.

And the Dunmer are just going to bow down and except it... why? The only time they've ever had a king was when they were part of the Empire and even then he was nothing more than a figurehead. Honestly, unless Bethesda goes and pulls another "You're the hero, please lead us!", I highly doubt the Dunmer would ever consent to be ruled over by anyone.

If I can become the dominant Great House lord or something, I would do it.

This. Argonian servants. Maids, in fact.

The argonians took land from morrowind. Why can't we take over solsteim? I mean hell, we are dragonborn. We can shout any opposition down, and summon dragon friends to help impose our rule!!!!!!!!

Because some people prefer their lore not to be [censored] by allpowerful PCs. :P
