So what would make him turn hostile on me? I was running down the raod and noticed person on the road it was him, all of a sudden he pulled out his sword and fired up a ward spell on me. I have passed him many times, I have never stolen from him (one of the few) never attacked him in the past have even helped him in the past with a few bandits. Other than being a bard is he part of any faction that I may have pissed off? I stuck an arrow in his chest and he took off running saying he yields so I let him go.

Oh and I am not a Vampire, I am a werewolf and havent changed in awhile.

Probably a bug.
Or perhaps you attacked stormcloaks.

I havent joined either side of the civil war, but I tend to free the stromcloaks anytime the Thalmor have them. I just felt bad he is rather entertaining on the road and I had to put an arrow in his chest today hope he did take it to heart.

ok its been a strange day for me, first Talsgar the wanderer tried to kill me, three Imperial soldiers(real ones) walking down the road (totally unprovoked attack) and a random Mercenary (the ones you can normally talk to). I was able to walk right into a Imperial fort shortly after the attack and they acted normal towards me.
