One of the biggest features that excited us the most about our community system that we developed for Tamriel Foundry was the potential for the groups system, and the role of user created groups in the community. We believe that guild identity and presence reinforces the life of an MMO community in meaningful and lasting ways. It has always been our intention to support user created guilds on Tamriel Foundry, but we had kept this feature disabled for several reasons, the most important of which being that we wanted to make sure that any listing of user guilds would be relevant for Tamriel Foundry’s official server at launch. The Megaserver announcement changed our plans in an exciting way, now all players share the same single server, and guilds are no longer segregated across traditional shard barriers. What this means for the Tamriel Foundry community, is that it’s time to allow our members who are current or aspiring guild leaders to have their guilds represented here on the site!

Now, on the http://tamrielfoundry.com/groups/ page, you can click a button in the header to Create a Guild. This directs you to the guild submission form. In order to preserve a high quality of listed guilds, we have decided to require that created guilds pass through a moderation process before being posted. The moderation process will (typically) take less than 24 hours, and is simply intended to verify that a reasonable degree of thought and planning goes into each guild’s entry. When approved, you will be assigned as the Guildmaster of your own user group on Tamriel Foundry! As a guild leader, you will enjoy full control over:

• Guild description and/or statement of purpose
  
• General information listings, including faction, website, focus, gameplay style, region, and more.
  
• Public/private recruitment settings
  
• Member listings with the ability to promote officers and invite friends
  
• Your guild specific activity feed
  
• All the exciting planned guild features that will be added between now and the launch of TESO!

This is not the end of our vision for the role of user groups and guilds on Tamriel Foundry, and we have plans to continue adding and enhancing features of the guild listing system. We will continue to unveil additional group and guild features in the coming weeks and months!
