Tamriel Rebuilt is happy to announce our latest release of build 16.09!

What’s New

The big news is that Tamriel Rebuilt has moved its assets to http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44537/? (link is external). If you have used Tamriel Rebuilt in the past, please read up on http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44537/? (link is external), download it and http://www.theassimilationlab.com/forums/topic/4725-tools-and-utilities-for-morrowind/. (link is external)

It needs to be repeated, since this is the biggest hurdle new users face when first installing Tamriel Rebuilt: Install Tamriel_Data.

Aside from moving to this unified province asset framework, TR1609 took the opportunity to revamp its regions and city names. Formerly afraid of breaking continuity with previous releases, names and region changes which had been confined to Tamriel Rebuilt design documents and discussion threads have finally found their way into game files. TR_Travels has been updated to its final release before its changes find their way into our main game files. If you have a strong opinion about either of this, please check our forums and discuss it!

Additionally, we have incorporated several bug fixes and revamps. Notable, Andothren is nearing completion, and Menaan has started to come into its own as an independent settlement.

The Tamriel Rebuilt Team still needs YOU!

Far from being an exclusive group of modders, Tamriel Rebuilt is open for everyone! If you know your way around the Construction Set, GIMP or Blender, and want to contribute, you are welcome.

But even if you don’t have those skills yet, you are welcome to talk about Tamriel Rebuilt, Morrowind, or lore in general.

Tamriel Rebuilt not only has its own website and forum for you to post in, it also has its own IRC channel and Discord server! Access information can be found here. We hold weekly, public development meetings on Discord, 5PM UTC on Saturdays.

If you are interested, don’t be afraid to just hang around listen, or jump in when you feel like saying something. Tamriel Rebuilt is not happening behind closed doors, you too can be part of it!

To be honest, I'm not happy about this release. Because there is nothing new, .... except incompatibilities. TR-related Abot's mod (Boats, WindowsGlowTR, ...) are not working and are crashing the game because of the renaming towns and regions (one of his scripts doesn't work).

In my opinion, TR team should stop reviewing what they have done and should focus on what there is still to do. The city of Almalexia was reviewed in june last year but is still not finished. I really love your work. But you should go forward and not still reviewing the past.

Keep your great job, there are a lot of places undone. :)

@Lika0n Hello, mate. I've used the TR_FilePatcher that comes within Tamriel_Data to patch Abot's mods. I can assure they are working with the current TR (After recompiling the scripts with the CS, of course).

I doubt it, several obstacles probably are not moved as they should. Have a look e.g. at the wood bridge near Alt Bosara or the Strider route to Akamora. And as identifiers have been changed Mash updaters can't fix this.

@Lika0n Could you test these? No problems with them for me but I remember use Wrye Mash fixes and Tes3cmd, too.
