Team Fortress 2 Discussion #17

Post » Mon Apr 22, 2013 9:48 am

From what I can tell, no new iteration of this thread was posted after http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1393947-unofficial-team-fortress-2-discussion-16/ was locked in December. I jumped in yesterday for the first time since ~July so I thought I'd give this a jolt. :)

Despite being quite excited for Mann versus Machine while it was being teased, I was preparing to move late last summer and never had a chance to try it. After talking about Prop Hunt with some friends on Friday, however, I needed to dust off the ol' flamethrower. After several fun matches of prop hunt, and noticing that none of the other servers on my favorites list were active, I decided to give MvM a shot.

So far . . . my reaction is mixed. The first map I tried lasted six waves, and nearly everyone else I played with was a new player. In short, it was a mess. After the third attempt of the last wave I left. The next server had more veteran players and we won handily. I tried a new "normal" difficult map today, with eight waves, and it was almost laughably easy. One of the later levels had a mass of scouts, and they did manage to get the bomb to the end, but never had a chance to set it off.

Playing the XBOX version. IT'S SO MUCH FUN.

After 343 ruined Halo for me, this became my new baby. <3 It's what Halo 4 should have been a little more like. Kept that Arena element and spiced it up. I think class-based would have been so much better than COD-for-brains.
