When I heard you could be a bard in skyrim I followed the questline to a city called solitude. The headmaster of the colledge of the bards couldnt celebrate the burning of king olaf because the queen doesnt believe its the right thing to do. So the headmaster sent me to a dungeon to get an old book that could change her mind. Anyway, I went through the quest (after dying alot) following a ghost. He led me to a corpse that is suppost to contain the book. The only problem is there is no book there, and the way you get to this room with the corpse is by falling down a hatch that you cant climb up. So im stuck here, bookless and without escape. has anyone else found this to be a problem? And is there anything that could be done to get the book loaded to my game?

It sounds correct thoug. During the quest you are suppose to jump down a hatch into a pool and continue from there.
