TESAnnwyn Help?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 11:51 pm

So I really want to create my own worldspace but I seem to have hit a big bump. After a lot of trial and error I still cant seem to get it but I easily create a heightmap in L3DT then I use TESAnnwyn to import it into the Creation Kit but it is coming out all distorted, I will post pictures below. I am exporting it in 16 bit unsigned RAW formate with a manual scale of 0.114301, I clip the heightfield below -117.0446166992187 and I set the lowest point to -200 (I found the numbers from a guide) then I use the following command in TESannwyn; tesannwyn -i Skyrim -p 1 -b 16 -d 1024x1024 -x -16 -y -16 -h -8192 -w AAAWorld MyWorld.raw, I just wanted to create a small map to begin with and get familiar with creating worldspaces but I just cant seem to get it to work. So i cant post links yet but ill try to explain it the heighfield map in the CK is just long vertical colored lines and then 3 rows of large pixels below the lines. Any help would be much appreciated

- the lowest point should be -117.0446166992187 and not -200
- try: tesannwyn -i Skyrim -w MyWorld -p 1 -b 16 -d 1024x1024 -x -16 -y -16 -0 -h -8192 AAAWorld MyWorld.rar
- rename your .rar-file without a space

I'm new to using TESAnnwyn, but most of the issues I've had were caused by sudden drastic differences in elevation due to the heightmap and/or scale that was used.

ok ok this is good thank you layman I am getting closer the heightmap is showing up in the CK correctly now when I used the "cow" command to test it in skyrim just to make sure it was there its all under water so i guess i have to mess with the -h numbers until it comes out right?

if you take -8192 as I wrote and -117.0446166992187 as the lowest point of your map, the Default Water Height should be correct at 0.

P.S.: "layman" isn't my name^^
