TESO's composer is Rik Schaffer? : Othor Games

So, Rik Schaffer has revealed on his http://www.youtube.com/user/rikschaffer that he has been working on The Elder Scrolls Online. To quote:

I've come out of music retirement to write half the soundtrack for the new Elder Scrolls Online. I've been working on it for a? couple of years. Thanks for understanding and appreciating my semi obscure music. - R

Now, I cannot verify that this is the real Rik Schaffer, however the previous comments that this account has made (offering to send some of his work to people via email and providing background on the process of composing them) makes me think that this is most likely legitimate. I don't see what the incentive would be for someone to construct such a ruse, either.S

So, take this with a grain of salt, but I personally am inclined to believe this.

Perhaps Rik's most well-known work is the soundtrack of the classic RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. His soundtrack for Bloodlines is one of my absolute favourites, and, if he is on board with The Elder Scrolls Online, I see this as a good thing (though the other half had better be Jeremy Soule!

Very happy to read this as I as well thought Vampire: The Masquerade had an incredible soundtrack. Just listened to a couple of the tracks at the link you provided and it almost makes me want to play the game again!
