TESO Pricing What will it be?

Post » Sat May 18, 2013 12:12 pm

There are two big contenders for The Elder Scrolls Online pricing: Buy to play and Pay to play. With 99% certainty I can assure you the game will start off as one of those. The other 1% I'm leaving for those who wish the game to start off as free to play or some crazy new way of funding this game. Now personally I think there are two business plans that are almost equally likely to happen. I would prefer the buy to play one though I feel that the subscription one is slightly more likely and perhaps more realistic. Though in my own opinion if this game is subscription they will alienate most TES fans that they gained through the years but perhaps I am wrong. So without further ado the most likely scenarios.

Scenario 1: initial game cost of $40-$60 plus a monthly sub of $9.99-$14.99. Game will likely come with three months free. All expansions will either be free or be at fixed costs ranging from $9.99-$29.99

Scenario 2: initial game cost of $60 with cash shop of some kind plus yearly expansions all roughly $30-$60 as well.

Scenario 3: initial game cost of $60 with cash shop and ads expansions cost from $19.99-$49.99 game also features an optional subscription that costs $5.99-$14.99 a month and would take out all adds reduce or eliminate prices from cash shop and would allow one to download all expansions at some kind of reduced cost.

Which scenario would you like best and which is the most realistic in your own opinion?

I know that. Was looking for something more along the lines of: Which scenario would you like best and which is the most realistic in your own opinion?

How about sticking to one single payment model thread on main page?

There are 2 already going you participate in one of them, did we really need 3rd?
