The skyrim-plugin-decoding-project currently working on TES5Dump, in preparation for TES5Edit will also be hosting and improving on TESVSnip. The version hosted is Figment's version 4.2, with Wmrojer's additions of 4.3 previously hosted on the Nexus.
Currently Leandro Conde will be in charge of overseeing changes to the source code that other volunteers commit to the SVN. If he has spare time and, can contribute, he has volunteered to do so.
We are looking for C# programmers that are willing to contribute to the project and produce a working copy of TESVSnip that will function as intended. From reading Figment's thread on the Nexus I understand there is also a Currently a non-publicly released version v4.3.1 and SluckyD has mentioned he has fixed some of the issues plaguing TESVSnip but it is a separate version as well. From what I understand he is awaiting permission from Wmrojer to host this version. I have not heard of Wmrojer at this time but I extend my invitation to join forces. Whether or not we join forces our project site is hosting the source under the same GPL that covers both version 4.2 and version 4.3 and will be releasing an alpha version of TESVSnip as soon as we have something to work with.
We will be looking for people to test the program so that we can release the most stable and reliable version possible. Part of the testing will include using HEXDump which is simply a modified version of TES5Dump with some specific modifications. This will ensure that there is no data loss when using Snip.
The issue tracker on our site is set up for TESVSnip and we welcome any bug reports that cover version 4.2 or 4.3. Feature enhancements are also welcome but they will be low priority until the version is stable enough to facilitate additional features. If a feature is currently implemented but not functioning correctly it will be resolved once the more critical issues are resolved.
