Texture issues (from dvd) and now worse framerate

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 9:38 pm

A couple of days ago i got the texture issue WITHOUT any installation;i've tried everything, clear cache, install, uninstall but the game ahs entered in N64 mode :( in adding to this, today i was hunt around Whiterun and 3 thalmor attacked me;when switched from bow to sword+axe and attacking them, the game become unplayble, just like the videos of ps3 worse framerate...after the enemy was killed, everything goes back to normal.

I hope that Bethesda is aware of worse framerate is even on 360?

I had a similar experience during one of the last MQ quests. The one before you fight Alduin. Seriously thought my Xbox was breaking, must gave have 2fps.

All my saves are 6 MB+, i think the issues is linked to that files.

I've noticed a strange thing, i have 2 Skyrim character:

1)45 hours of play,in standby because a few quest glithced,8 MB
2)25 hours of play,in this game i got texture bug and framerate issues (now the texture bug has extended to all my savegames) the size is 6 MB.

Checked my Oblivion saves and noticed that 188 hours of gameplay, size 5 MB?

Skyrim 25 hours:6 MB
Oblivion 188 hours:5 MB

There's something wrong.

PS:sorry for my english,i'm italian.

You know, I'm beginning to think the same thing. I mean if you look at the reports people are posting on here. It's not the disk drive, memory cache (per se), or hdd. After certain amount of time people start to rack up their size in save game space (take a time frame of 30-60 hours) at that point people start reporting problems.

it's very plausible that it's somehow connected to the savegame files.
If that is the case... then if they patch it would you need to start over again or can they implement the patch on your save games you already have?

I have a level 35 save, can't remember how many hours now, it's saved to memory stick. It's basically from the day of launch which is 10 meg in size, and there were no issues with graphics, there was one quest, the one with the dog where I had real frame rate problems in one cave, other than that just quest related bugs.

I started a new character and after a few hours play I've noticed a missing texture, first one, on some rock face surface in the one area, I can't say the problems are related to save game size or not, but I would imagine the save file size would get larger as you collect and store more items.

I'm not saying its not related to file size, I'm just saying I never had any real problems.
