Thalmor Invasion DLC: Possible or Not?

Post » Sat Sep 08, 2012 8:21 pm

For the record, I would like to see an TES5: Skyrim DLC in which the Thalmor decide to invade Skyrim in response to the Dragonborn infiltrating and sacking the Thalmor Embassy. And, in turn, the Dragonborn leads the Nords—preferably the Stormcloaks—in a campaign to expel them from Skyrim and, thus, give all of Tamriel hope that the Thalmor can be beaten.

Is this truly possible? Or is BGS saving this type of plotline for Elder Scrolls 6?

I don't know if this happens or not but I'm sure they will add something Thalmor connected in the game. Otherwise the Thalmor Headquarters in Solitude seems to be there for nothing. I already hate the truth that there's no one in those champers even they seem to be in use.

Full on war game.

Nah rather have a Civil war again maybe, But longer and better. Could take along time to actually beat it, and have Repeatable Quests, Go on this battlefield and kill these guys :)

I sure hope not. What would you rather: one DLC (smaller than an expansion, I believe Bethesda have said) dealing with the Thalmor, or the main plot for an entire game?

I don't know. Many people love Shivering Isles more than the Oblivion main plot. Plus the main plot in Skyrim while okay IMO is not fantastic. Sometimes Bethesda seems to do a better job with the stories in DLC.

I imagine a Thalmor plot would have to be an expansion size though, and not a short DLC.
