Thank god for steam sales.

I wouldn't have picked up the game if it weren't for the 50% sale, because frankly, I always thought it was 'just a Bioshock ripoff'. I just finished playing the game and holy crap, I actually feel like I've robbed Arkane Studios. I was floored by virtually everything, most of all the '3D painting' visuals, but I won't bore you with details because I'm sure you've heard it all a million times by now. Just about the only criticism I have of the game is the less than stellar AI (no cover system), and forcing the ranged weapons to the left hand (I got tired of switching back and forth between blink and my crossbow, because I rarely used the sword). Oh, and I would have liked a little insight as to what happened to some important characters whose lives I spared (ie. a certain prominent assassin), once the game was over.

Also, gaming industry, please take note of Dishonored and give us options to disable most everything in the UI, PLEASE!

Arkane Studios is now not on my radar; it's on satellite surveillance.

It's a wonderful game, isn't it? I wouldn't have bought it because of regional restriction shenanigans, but it was a Christmas gift - and am I glad that I played it!

Btw, 'certain prominent assassin'? The one whose story two upcoming DLC are going to conclude? I have a feeling you'll enjoy them

Hah, other than the perspective looking vaguely the same, and the fact that you can instantly eat copious amounts of food, this game is really nothing like Bioshock. I did see the similarities before I played as well, though.
