Now seeing that I play my games on PC only and SEEING that this "franchise" was born on PC and SEEING that I purchased ALL your titles on PC, I kinda got offended with YOU CRYTEK are offering me a chance to playtest it on BLOODY XBOX? Man, that test is JUST TO TEST THE XBOX360 SYSTEM; DOES IT WORK OR NOT. We PC users should get a beta later on... This is just an XBOX360 stress test.

Question to Crytek:

If i bought Far Cry,2-3 months ago,do you get anything for it?my money?
You see,i played it already using a borrowed CD,so it's not really original,and i now bought it to show you my support as a gamer(i dont buy many games,right now i have 5 legit games,and the orange box).

BTW i have ALL of your games.so you are half my collection!

I think all the Far Cry profits since Crytek sold the franchise, go to Ubisoft.

Just wait I'm confident that a PC beta should come around soon.

Crysis 2 is NOT a console port to PC. Hell, it isn't even being ported from PC to consoles.

If you have been know anything about the game engine behind Crysis 2 (CryEngine 3), you will know that the graphics and the levels are developed on all 3 platforms simultaneously, and the graphics, physics and overall quality of the game are scaled to meet the limitations of their respective platforms when they build the game.

That means that the Xbox 360 and PS3 will get the graphics they're systems can handle, no more. The PC doesn't have nearly as many limitations in quality as the consoles, so the PC version will be of higher quality. Nothing is being dumbed down for the PC.

The Xbox 360 test is a test for the Xbox 360 version, and how well the console can handle it and how well the server deals with load from players. This test will almost certainly be coming to PC and PS3, simply because they will need the same performance information for those platforms.

I imagine they had to choose 1 platform to test first, to keep things small and easy to manage. The other ones will follow.

You obviously don't know the facts. So don't go pointing fingers based on hasty assumptions of future development and testing plans.

NOTE: This post is based on the belief that Crytek is telling the truth about what the test is REALLY for. If this is really all about svcking up to Microsoft, then this post is mostly irrelevant.

Oh ****,great i gave money to ubisoft,my hated publisher/developer.

I really hope a test and beta are released for the PC though it would have been nice if it had remained a PC exclusive...it was a series that made us PC games proud....

I agree with Frogging101 but I do think that svcking up to Microsoft plays some role (thus the Xbox Live Gold Membership requirement?) or maybe not...

Xbox Live Gold is required to play online I think, which is why its a requirement.

Maybe the reason for an xbox360 test is that xbox live servers runs different than the servers for the pc and ps3?

yes they probably do, but since this is a stress test i wonder why there not having one on ps3 they havnt showed anything for it... mabye its just that bad of condition that they cant lol jk i can understan why there having it on xbox
