Thanks to Steam No Xmas presents after all.

Steam must be running all the time?
This means that some of my 'wilderness' friends cannot play and I cannot play over xmas season when I visit.
That stinks.
This was to be my present to them for the holidays.
What on earth is happening to games? why this need for them to constantly retrieve info from everyones computer or you don't play?
....and steam is required even to mod!

Steam has an offline mode.

Unfortunately you need an internet connected computer to install (but not play!) Skyrim without a crack.

Steam only needs to be connected when instal the game the very first time, to verify you are the account holder.

After that, you no longer need internet connection other than to patch the game.

If you un-intsall and re-intsall, it will need that internet connection again ... when you install the game.

Go to the Skyrim install folder and run it through TESV.exe.

You do not need Steam to run it.
