The bard I hired...

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 9:24 pm

When she speak, she sound perfectly normal. But as soon as she start singing, she seem to turn to a voice with throat cancer. Can I hire the bard from other town's Tavern instead? even they sing much much better

my steward hired some good looking gal... he probably should have checked out her singing ability instead of what ever else she may have talents for cause her singing is HORRIBLE! I requested her to sing Ragnar the Red. Holy crap I had to flee my house to keep my ears from bleeding. As soon as I figure out how to hire another bard I'm firing her.

She can stay if she cooks and cleans but as long as she doesn't sing.

Bard should be a nice addition as a personal entertainer, but her singing made me want to kill her... actually i did kill her but i got a bounty instantly on my goody paladin so i just reload and markfordelete

I agree, when she sings “Ragnar the Red” it’s always a good time to go use the anvil. Or just ask her to play some instrumental music.

Well I had to leave or I would have put her head on the anvil and hit it with a hammer.

Maybe I'll come home and find my two sweet daughters killed her with the wooden daggers I bought em. ;)

I agree, you should just be able to hire the ones in the taverns.
Is the one in Falkreath any good?

He's my favorite, but I've heard others complain because he's male.

Well that's OK by me. As long as he sounds like a man singing and not a cat being strangled.

Pity she can't be made to follow the player. She could clear out dungeons with that voice.

Ahhh... this would be the same voice actress as the Dawnstar singer. Yeah - she's got a singing voice that makes hammering on an anvil sound like a lullaby.>_< odd... considering her normal voice is rather sweet and cute.

I always found it ironic one of her lines is "Dawnstar features one of the finest Bards in Skyrim, me!" >_<

I think she has a fantastic pair of........................lungs.
I tried to fire her and although it said I had succeeded she still hasn't left, instead the one at Lakeview disappeared, is this a glitch or deliberate.?'
Also the option to rehire has not come back so maybe he drowned in the lake or something.

Well, some voice parts go well with a female singer who "belts". The Kangaroo in "Seussical", for instance, and Miss Hannigan in "Annie", for instance. The latter, I am told, was the inspiration for Grelod the Kind.

After I found out that the bards have 'sticky fingers' I tried to get rid of all 3 I had hired. All showed that they had been released from service but never left the house. Tried killing them but my steward always saw, whether they were inside or out, and I got a bounty. Finally ended up asking my steward to follow me, took them outside and had them wait, then went back in and dispatched the bards the right way. Walked right back outside and dismissed my follower/steward. They walked in, walked right past the body, and it cleared the next time I zoned back in the house.

360 here so I couldn't use commands...had to get creative!

Think I'll just hire 'em and reload if they don't suit me. Being a bad singer is not a capital offense in my book.
