Zombie like people eating faces, the world ending, the black plague returning.... Sounds like hard time are coming indeed.

Do you guys think that this will spread? How far will this go?

The black plague? As in 1/3 of Europe
Dead and ring around the rosy? Bubonic?

That never really left. It has been around for ages. People just adapted to it over time and it played itself out.

Well if it were bubonic plague, he'd have been dead by that afternoon so rest easy.

I was horrified when I first learned this rhyme's morbid origins.

EDIT: And can we please stop the zombie thing? Why is everyone obsessed with this?

Yea, there has been Black Plague around forever. It's never been completely wiped out, not something a lot of people realize. It's just less relevant with modern medicine and other advancements. The hygiene standards as well, which they didn't really have back then.

No, it's really the black plague.

Good news is that it's treatable and not likely to cause a black death. If you've read the article, there's like 10-20 cases in the US each year. Vaccines are available overseas, it's easily treatable and more easily preventable.

I thought it took 3 days to die from bubonic plague? But anywas the rhyme is from that period. So is the phrase 'Bless you' whenever someone sneezes. It was believed sneezing was an early symptom of the plague.

As for the zombies? I have no idea, never really noticed it being anymore prevalent than normal. People have been into the idea of zombies since they became disassociated with black magic and voodoo. Pretty much since they became misinterpreted and adapted into something different in other words. Circa early 1920-50's was when all that started i think. Could be wrong.
