The Companions are evil? : V

I'm having trouble actually playing a good character in this game..

Is anyone else peeved off how you got to become a werewolf at the beginning of the companions, followed by the slaughter of town guards and silver hand members. Why won't the game give me the option to follow a good path in the companions? Is there really no room in this world for a good warrior character besides the main quest?

I joined the companions but did not become a werewolf on my altmer.

I was peaved though becuase I wanted to be a werebear instead of a wolf.

why does evertyone always want the wolf.

on the other hand found M'aiq and his comment about werebears was gold.

They are evil because one of the first quests is murdering werewolf hunters, which I believe are the good guys really. And the player is asked to go in and slaughter them.

Your thread title is too suggestive, even if you put things in spoiler. You're basically tipping everyone off about what you're assuming is true without the details, you obviously did not expect the Companions to be evil, so what do you think people will think now when they see your thread title?

But what the heck makes you think they're evil? The special folk can have morals and only attack bandits and necromancers.

Good guys don't capture and dissect people just to study were creatures. They are hardly good people. The Stengar group from House of Horrors is more in line with what you're assuming the Silver Hand is about.

I didn't see this part, I guess I didn't play far enough into it. It just took me by surprised when I joined the companions as a fighter then I was asked to become a werewolf and start ripping people apart.
