I took a long break from this game, and mainly come back for the DLC. i see there are already quite a lot of mods already but if I am not mistaken the creation kit is not out right? how is those mods being created and are they safe? or it is out already and i just missed the update?

No, but it's planned for a April or May release.

No official release date has been set.

The mods have been created with FO4edit (Google it if you want a copy), as the similarities between F4 and previous games is sufficiently close for some mods to be made prior to the formal release of the creation kit. Doesn't allow for scripting though.

The mods should be safe to use (check the comments if you have reason to be dubious).

As long asylu dont download mods that have no downloads, no comments and stupid purpose you should'nt have problems. There's always a risk though, but most commonly it willbe something can fix or incompatibilities with other mods. The latter more common since it also seem to be more unexpected incompatibilities with editing entries in FO4EDIT.


That said, I currently have 55 esps active and i've only had problem once (started with mods like a week after release)
