In The Dark

We are been left in the dark about the dawnguard dlc and 1.7 patch, we've had no communication from Bethesda except info 'soon' and if we will hear anything we'll let you know. They must be found alot of problems with it for them to say nothing, even so im disappointed that we are not being told anything else:( what does everyone else think about this?

Well if you have been following the ps3 dawnguard threads you would know how people feel about this situation.

Yes its very disapointing but there's nothing we can do.As for 1.7 for europe beth sent the patch to them I think near 2 weeks ago its sony europe who are being slow on the cert process, Sony N.America had their 1.7 patch but sony europe are very stirct and very slow so its out of beths hands now for 1.7. Sony hasn't come back to them with info on a release date for the europe 1.7 patch. As for the dlc this is down to beth they are responsable for the dlc as pete tweeted.

@KDodds. No what I meant was there is nothing we can do to speed the process of patches or bringing a dlc to the ps3.
If you have both consoles or high end pc and you can't wait then by all means get it on the other platforms. But if you want to shed out more Money on another console or pc just for a dlc or beth games then..... No comment each to their own.

I think you PS3 players would rather wait longer, then get it now with so many bugs you cant even complete the main questline or something.

I would rather get a DLC that has been ironed-out than one that will completely break the v-game. I know waiting is arduous and painful, expecially with Xbox/PC players playing... but.. I would rather they refine what is wrong and port it in good faith that PS3 users are getting a great experience.

My two cents.

if they haven't released yet dawnguard for ps3 its probably because its unplayable at the actual state - or for other technical/marketing valid reason
who wants to play it on this platform have only to wait unfortunately, and open 100 different threads on beth lacks of communication couldn't change much the situation if you ask me

It is confirmed to be unplayable, and it is so because they probably aren't really good at programming games for the PS3.

Hehe. :) I know what you meant. Just pointing out that there are alternatives to owning an obsolete console. That's not a knock, it's just a fact of life. FWIW, your PC does not have to be anywhere near high end to run Skyrim and look MUCH better, run faster, and with MUCH shorter loads and saves, than either console version. I'm running on a laptop (8GB, i5, 1GB NVidia). I think you can get this same machine now for around $1K, maybe $1.3K.

Yes i understand what your saying.. i have a pc thats more then capable of running skyrim but i dont game on pc anymore or as much... plus i have a nice comfy set up when playing Ps3. Used to have an Xbox but i gave it to my niece but anyway i myself dont buy the same game twice just for extra content or this one runs better then that so il buy it again on the better platform ect... i know some do an thats fine but i dont.

If i was an avid 24/7 gamer then yes pc is the way to go but im not.

Would i wanna spend over 1k to a get Pc/laptop just to run beths games and dlc..... absolutely not!! If i was just a pc gamer that just played games on a pc then maybe.

Despite beths on going mistakes with what they do with the ps3 i also make the same mistake by purchasing beth games on Ps3 so its my own fault too knowing their track record.I suppose i just keep giving them the benefit of the doubt that they would improve.... more fool me eh?

Asi said i have a nice comfy set up when playing my Ps3... Maybe i might start going back to Pc when it comes to beth from now on :)

360 is unplayable to some people. Some players hit bugs that they can't finish the DLC.

I hit bugs that would have put me in the same situation unless I used console commands. Like Serana constantly bashing the moth priest?

The issue is though that at the rate that Bethesda releases DLC to PS3 customers we're probably looking at between 6-12 months just like with some of their other games.

Well, not we.

Oh, that's funny. It would be great having them both in castle (a a vamp) and she just keeps beating him to the stones.

She and Shadowmere go at it, for me, when either gets an accidental shot in, the all heck breaks loose. Fast travel, or entering a building, solves the "problem".

We just had the fight with him and when it was done she wouldnt let him get up or anything, so it was just getting annoying. i feared everyone would attack him so I reset the combat AI and that seemed to fix things.

there are so many bugs on Xbox, that at times its not playable all the way through anyways, no there is something else keeping them from releasing info on it, else why wouldnt they just tells us "hey we ****ed up the coding, our bad" then most of the ps3 players (me included) wouldnt be so ticked. I dont mind the wait, so long as its not 6-12 months if so then i wont get it period. However what i hate is the lack of communication between We the players and Bethesda. Like in all relationships there needs to be feed back, when we ask why we didnt get out DLC after the 30 days and they go "we have no new info" then of course we are going to get ticked.

I think your 6-12 months is probably right on the money xD
They've released DLC to PS3 around that time before. And they plan the next DLC to release during the holiday season. They're gonna work on that more I'd assume.

I expect the exact same thing here. PS3 first DLC 9+ months out from 360 initial release of the DLC, and the 360 getting 1-2 new DLC's while the PS3 is still waiting for their first.
