So the dawnguard costs $20

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:59 pm

The skyrim base game costed $60

Dawnguard costs $20

$20 is 1/3 of $60

That means, that if this DLC contains less than an equivalent to 1/3 of skyrim's vanilla content, this DLC is overpriced.

BUT, if this DLC contains an equivalent or more to 1/3 of skyrim's vanilla content, then this DLC is rightly priced.

Bethesda, I'm really hoping this isn't a rip-off.

How about just buy the DLC and enjoy it and not pay attention to the price

I'm thinking Dawnguard is probably longer than most average games nowadays, so really it's underpriced.

Your logic is flawed, your assuming that skyrim was justly priced. Skyrim may have been worth $100 and we were just lucky getting it for $60.

My mistake, 1/3, it's late at night and I'm tired, thanks for correcting me before I look completely stupid :o

So it's twice the price of a standard map pack (not a Call of Duty ripoff pack) and it has ten times the content, I don't see the problem.
Not to mention The Shivering isles in Oblivion was $30 compared to Dawnguard at $20.

I'm happy to pay the asking price for what I've seen and heard already. The actual content of the quests and any other features will be bonuses to me.

Nope he posted that exact same thing in another topic. No mistake there. Guy just fails at math.

The DLC was said to be around 10-20 hours. That is more than Portal 2, which is currently $30 where I live. So I say deal.

Not to mention that the 10-20 hours is an estimate for how long it takes to finish the main quest if you do nothing BUT the main quest. Who among us can honestly say that they don't spend the majority of their time wandering about and gawking at the epic world? :)
