Post » Sat Dec 01, 2012 5:18 am

Alright guys, I've been told a lot of things while podcasting for Elder Scrolls Off the Record. I'm going to the experts now.

::Rolls up sleeves::

Hit me with it! THE Definitive TES Game!

Looking forward to seeing the poll results and your reasons below: GO!

It's a series. Each one merely adds onto the others, forming the whole. I choose to accept them as a whole, in that regard.

How do you mean 'definitive'? You mean the game which 'embodies' the Elder Scrolls the most? There's no answer to that. You're just going to get a lot of arguing on this thread, I'm afraid.

I can't answer your poll unless theres an 'all of them' option.

Agreed. Together they form the Definitive TES.

Now what I would like is a fresh game that has Morrowind, Cyrodiil and Skyrim. That would be big enough :)

Morrowind, closely followed by Skyrim and Daggerfall.

Morrowind and Daggerfall. Those were real TES RPGs!

But I agree with the others, each one has its own thing to deliver.

You got it bud! The "All of them" option is up there. ...with some flare, of course :)

Was about to click Morrowind because it was the first of the series i played but, despite the bugs/glitches, Skyrim is one hell of a game. Morrowind would go silver and Oblivion bronze for sure.

Thanks  But why the multiple choice?

Because we're RPG fans...we thrive on choices. And besides, this isn't a scientific poll, just for fun. :)

Agreed. This poll is not meant to have multiple choice!

For the next TES game, they should just remake Morrowind (but without cutting cool stuff like levitation). Seriously, Morrowind is just way better. It's been scientifically proven through empirical studies and crap.

I voted for Skyrim, but I'm honestly surprised Oblivion isn't getting more votes. I debated between it and Skyrim for a while. But hey, that's why there's polls, right?

Well i've only played Oblivion and Skyrim, and both do some parts better than the other

But like i've said before, out of those two i have to go with Skyrim due it's performace and stability being much better. On the same system :lmao:

Morrowind was the first ES game I played and it blew me away. The cool alien locale was unlike any fantasy game I've played and the the way the game presented the world to the player is unparalleled in any other game series. Despite Morrowind's horribly obtuse game mechanics and awful combat, it is the most immersive gaming experience I've had to date.

I had to vote all of them. Not really the topic I was expecting when I clicked on it in truth, though I guess what I had in mind would be an interesting thought process for another day.

Would have to say the first TES game I played, Morrowind. I mostly like this one the best due to the artistic style and the story and background of the game. An amazing experience that the other games couldn't really offer in the same way. (Oblivion and Skyrim are two of my favourite games, its just Morrowind is my favourite)

I love them all. I never thought of them as separate games but all as part of a series.

Skyrim by a country mile. In fact, I think the progression is that each new TES gets better and better.

Morrowind.

Skyrim isn't a bad game by itself, but it's a pretty bad TES game.

Again, I agree with Sheogorath.
Skyrim never felt TES-ish to me. Morrowind did, but mostly, for some reason, Daggerfall. I want this retro "vibe" to return in TES game.
