For starters I was having serious problems with the “Discerning the Transmundane Quest” in which I was unable to collect blood from High Elves during the Dawnguard quest.

So, I figured what the hell and deleted all of the saves of my current game and started anew. During the opening scene I noticed that even after the wagons arrived in Helgen, Ralof was still going on about the wine. Even the sounds were totally off. Then when everyone started to climb out of the wagon the female officer wasn’t there in front of us. I looked around and General Tullius was missing as well.

Now, I have to ask is it still recommended to uncheck Bethesda’s Texture mod even after all of the patches?

Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem may have been? I have since uninstalled the game and am currently reinstalling it. Thank you.

I had something similar once, general Tullius was missing, or was it Elenwen? Well, I just quit the game and re-started it and everyone was there.

Yea, I tried that too. Anyway, I an reinstalling it. Hopefully that will cure whatever it was that broke the game. Because, it was fine yesterday--other than not being able to collect the blood from a High Elf.
